Asha is an Executive Fellow at Berkeley Center for Law and Business, and is serving as VP of Legal for Scoop Technologies.
Prewas Investment Principal and Corporate Counsel at the Westly Group, a sustainability focused venture capital firm investing in areas such the sharing economy, on-demand services, energy efficiency, transportation, food and agriculture, and smart buildings.
Prior to joining Scoop Technologies, Asha was Investment Principal and Corporate Counsel at the Westly Group, a sustainability focused venture capital firm. And before that, she practiced as a corporate attorney at Gunderson Dettmer LLP, a law firm specializing in startups, emerging growth companies and VC funds. While there, Asha advised clients on a broad range of corporate matters including company formations, venture capital financings and strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions. She has also served as investors’ counsel for numerous top-tier venture capital funds. Prior to her work at Gunderson Dettmer, Asha worked at Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago, IL, where she advised hedge funds and banks in securities law issues.
Asha holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.Sc. from Northwestern University. She is admitted to practice law in California.
