Benedetta Arese Lucini was born in Milano and earned her Bachelor's degree in International Economics from the University of Bocconi. She began her career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley in London. Then, she earned her MBA from NYU"s Stern School of Business, where she specialized in technology, media, and entertainment.
Upon graduation, Benedetta took her newfound passion for tech startups to the West Coast. She led startups to the public market through her role at Credit Suisse. Once she felt ready for a new adventure, Benedetta moved to Malaysia and led the operations of Zalora - an e-commerce company under the Rocket Internet Group. After nearly 10 years of global tech experience, Benedetta returned to Italy and worked as the Italian General Manager at Uber, where she managed the brand's expansion through Italy and the launch of new products, like its peer-to-peer solution.
The knowledge and exposure that she gained at Uber drove Benedetta to start something new. As Co-Founder of Oval Money, she wants to tackle another highly regulated industry -finance. Her goal is to build a web and mobile app that uses behavioral data and artificial intelligence to help users make smarter financial choices.
